Tea Time in Bali #2

This quilt was made by Nancy, for her grand-niece.  Lucky little girl.

This is a Tea Time in Bali quilt, this time made with batiks.  Nancy's niece likes daisy's, so she asked for daisy's in the quilting, and chose a Magnifico Gold thread, with a lovely sheen and it looks so great on the back of the quilt.   This quilt has Hobbs 80/20 for batting, which provides nice loft and definition to the quilting, and will stand up well to the washing for a childs quilt.

I was able to get a photo of this top when the blocks were all laid out but not yet sewn together.  I think it is very interesting how different (and how much better) it looks when the blocks are sewn together.  I have made more than one quilt that I didn't like until I had all the blocks sewn together or even until it was quilted.

The backing looks so rich and textured.  It is a batik as well.
