Color My World

Linda brought me this Color My World to quilt for her. Isn't it great? I love all the different houses and trees and the towers in the corners--Big Ben, Eiffel Tower and I don't know the names of the others. Color My World was the 2021 BOM at the Quilt Show, designed by Wendy Williams I was impressed that Linda had it finished to bring to quilt in January--my 2021 BOM is still in block form.
Originally, Linda had thought to put custom quilting on this quilt, but there are so many details, and so little space for custom quilting to show, that ultimately we decided a freehand edge to edge design was best.
Linda chose this design, as it represents a topographic map--my DH came along to have a peek while I was working on the compass area, and he got it immediately, "a compass and a topographic map" was his comment.
There were so many fun fabrics to look at while I quilted. Thanks Linda, for letting me play on your creation.
