Happy Canada Day! (a day early, but we're heading out of town....)
I've been saving this quilt to blog about for a few months now (well, saving all the quilts as I see my last post was early May).
Heather W and I had a good laugh about this little wall hanging, as she didn't put a stitch into it until doing the binding.
Heather did do a lot of intricate cutting, which I am glad it was her and not me. And, I think she was glad it was me, and not her, adding all the stitching, so we were both happy.
I stitched on the edges of all the appliques to hold them down, and then added some texture.
Red is one of those very tricky colors--so many times close is good enough, but not with the reds in this quilt top. I had to buy that red cone of so fine in the front right--the other 5 reds just wouldn't play nice.
