One of the organizations I do charity quilting for is Quilts of Valour Our guild had the Calgary leader of QOV come and speak, and it is so nice to hear her stories of the responses they get to the quilts.
She said that these quilts typically get a lot of use and washing, so they ask for a good density of quilting that will stand up to lots of washing.
The quilts don't have to follow any color scheme, or any specific piecing pattern, other than being well made, with good quality fabrics.
Unfortunately, I do not know the name of the piecer, so I cannot give credit.
If you are looking for a good place to donate a quilt, or a quilt top, or some of your quilting time, you can check out the link at the top of this post. If you are in the Calgary area, I can connect you with the local QOV group.
Love your quilting on this one! I too am a fan of Quilts of Valor - thank you for helping and hugging another Veteran
