Bargello with French Braid

 Trudy made this wonderfully bright quilt for a silent auction fundraiser. 

 She wanted to emphasize the movement in the bargello piecing, so we decided on a dwirling/landscape contours type pattern, and as much as possible, I used the color flows as the 'contours' of the landscape. 

I hope they raise a lot of money from this queen sized quilt.  The photos don't do it justice. 

Nine Patch Rails

Noreen made this Nine Patch Rails quilt, and I recognize several of her fabrics.  Noreen has this wonderful habit of using the fabric remains of her previous quilts quickly, which I think is a great way to keep the scraps managed.  I love the pebbles fabric, and the stonehenges.

for the quilting, I used Christina Cameli's wavy swirl.  I think it looks like water rippling above the rocks in a shallow stream (I get fanciful while quilting sometimes, repetition frees the brain :P)

Soft and Cuddly

 Crystal made this flannel quilt, and it's so soft and cuddly.  I called her to discuss quilting designs, and when she told me where this quilt was going, it became obvious that this was the perfect design and the perfect thread. 

 Landscape dwirling and Omni Milk Chocolate thread.

I think the recipient will be thrilled to get this quilt.
